Account Creation

The usage of our website, the viewing of previews and other services are free. Only if licenses are acquired a respective license fee is being charged.
In order to enjoy the benefits of the service you need to create an account on our website.
As we offer a B2B service, only companies can open an account. By opening an account you also confirm to be over 18 years old.
We offer two free user levels: Reef basic and Reef plus.
If you want to acquire a license for a film, you need to be signed in with Reef plus. You need to add the technical details of the dome as well as contact data and other information necessary to your profile. License fees shown to you on our website take already the size of the dome (diameter/seats) and/or its annual attendance into account.
You can manage, add and change your data at any time in your account settings. However, if you had some renovation and the size of your dome or the number of its seats changed, please contact us to change this information for you.

After you have completed an order, a confirmation with the order details will be sent to you by email.

When adding your company data, you are asked to fill in some information about your dome. You are asked to specify your digital system provider. If you have selected “other”, please specify which system you are using. We will contact you about technical options to licence films to your dome.

At the moment encryption is available for single projector domes only. We encrypt our films with a dongle. You need to have Windows10 installed to be able to use the dongle. Shipment of the dongle and license key will be done by international courier.
First time customers will receive a dongle from us. We will contact you to solve any technical issues and arrange the shipment.
A technical fee of 150 EUR will be added to your bill. Promotion: Until 31.12.2021 the technical fee will be waived.
For recurring customers: We advise you to keep the dongle. As a recurring customer, digital delivery remains FREE.
Digital delivery: Encrypted films files are available for download via ftp. For example, a 2k version in 2D of a film will have an approximate file size of 6 GB. The license key (which unlocks the encryption) will be sent by email. That`s all, you are set and can start showing the film immediately.
Currently 3D films can not be offered for single projector domes

All data is being stored on a server in Germany under full compliance of the European Data Protection laws.
Payment data will be handled by Novalnet, a full payment service provider.

Encryption allows digital rights management with the following advantages for you:
access to the latest films, even for small domes.
license period available for weeks or months.
instant file delivery

You can bookmark any film, by clicking on the “heart” button, to add or delete it from your favourite list.
You need to be signed in with Reef basic to be able to manage your favourite list.

License fee includes one language version. You can choose and add an additional available language version. The second language version will be added to your shopping cart for an additional fee. If you need more than two languages, or of you can not find the language you want, please contact our sales team.

When selecting a license start date, please allow approximately 2 weeks for processing and delivery.

You need to be logged-in with Reef Plus in order to license a film.
Select a film and the licensing parameters (language, audio format, image format, licensing period etc). The license fee will be shown to you with every selection step you make. Some technical data have no effect on the license fee, others such as stereoscopic projection, additional language versions etc may have an effect. You select a film by putting it into your shopping cart.
Please make sure that your dome data (diameter, number of seats, annual attendance and country of location) as well as the technical data is correct before you finalize the purchase.

After you have completed an order, a purchase confirmation and invoice will be sent to you by email within the next working days. If you have selected to pay by invoice, please transfer the license fee to the account stated on the invoice.

For Multi Projector Domes: After receipt of payment, your system provider will be informed by us about the purchase. The slicing needs to be done by the respective digital system provider of the dome (i.e. E&S, RSA, Sky-Skan…). Please contact your system provider to get the film sliced for your dome.
For Single Projector Domes: We will send you ecrypted film files after receipt of payment. For further information, please refer to the section “Encryption” in the FAQ.

If shipping will be handled by Reef, a technical fee of 150 EUR for shipping costs will be added to the bill. Promotion: Until 31.12.2021 the technical fee will be waived.
Delivery will be done by international courier after receipt of license payment by Reef.

After receipt of payment, your system provider will be informed by us about the purchase.
The slicing needs to be done by the respective digital system provider of the dome (i.e. E&S, RSA, Sky-Skan…). Please contact your system provider to get the film sliced for your dome.

If a film is not available for your territory, please contact us and we will find a solution.

The operating system of the media server is the system responsible for the projection of the full dome film.

The payment process is handled by Novalnet, a full payment service provider, who takes over the payment processing among other tasks.
You have a choice of payment by invoice, Master Card, Visa Card and Paypal.
If you make a purchase in a foreign currency, Novalnet will convert it into your currency based on the daily exchange rate.
Credit Card payments have a limit of 20,000 EUR.
Payments by invoice have no limit. If you have questions about our payment system, please contact our sales team.

You need to be signed in with Reef basic to be able to view a full length preview of a film.

Reef offers two free user levels:
Reef basic: Watch previews in full length, add films to your favourite list, download promotional material and manage your personal dashboard.
Reef plus: Additionally see license fees and buy films. Please sign in for Reef basic first and then upgrade to Reef plus.
